We want to ensure that your child receives the appropriate treatment at the appropriate age. The American Association of Orthodontists "AAO" recommends that children should receive an orthodontic evaluation no later than age 7. An evaluation at this early age will allow us to determine whether your child should begin treatment or be monitored for orthodontic problems.
When treating children, we are able to correct many existing problems, including bite problems (i.e., under and over bites), and direct the positioning of permanent teeth. This treatment at a young age can also prevent many problems from occurring later and in some cases, can simplify and shorten the length of treatment required at a later age.
